Windy City Retina is founded by a board-certified Ophthalmologist Dr. Ankit Desai who has specialization in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal and macular diseases. Dr. Ankit Desai is a native Chicagoan. He grew up in Joliet, Illinois where he studied molecular biochemistry and biophysics at the Illinois Institute of Technology. After that, he went on to earn his medical degree from the Chicago medical school and graduated with honors. He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at Saint Louis University and a two-year surgical fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease at Henry Ford hospital.
